historicity of the Bible dismiss it as moralistic fiction. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the ID of Tall el-Hammam as Sodom is dismissed because “the date is too late.” But, by now, we all understand that this kind of thinking is based on a mix of factual and logical errors. But why is this?
